SkyCrest Roofing hangs new siding on custom homes, additions, and detached buildings throughout Westwood Shores, TX. Every wall is handled by ISA-certified installers who treat flashing, drip edges, and panel layout as seriously as the finish you see.
A first-time siding job covers more ground than people expect: a newly framed house, a bump-out or second-story addition, a pool house, a shop. There is no old cladding to deal with, which makes the work simpler in one sense and less forgiving in another, because every layer we install is now the permanent defense against rain, wind, and humidity. Getting the layers right is the whole game.
Skip the drip edge, lap the wrap backwards, or leave an opening without pan flashing, and nothing looks wrong on handover day. The trouble arrives quietly: damp sheathing, swollen trim, musty smells, and a repair bill that dwarfs what careful work would have cost.
1. Walk-through. We tour the structure with you, confirm the sheathing is ready, and agree on material, color, and trim style.
2. Water-resistive layer. House wrap goes on shingle-style, upper courses over lower, with seams taped so water is always sent outward.
3. Openings sealed. Pan flashing, head flashing, and corner treatments go in around every window, door, and wall penetration before any siding touches the wall.
4. Panels on the wall. Courses are snapped level and fastened as the manufacturer prescribes, with space left for seasonal movement.
5. Handover review. We go through the finished exterior together with you or your builder and sweep the site clean.
Wall area, rooflines and corners, the material you choose, and how tightly the job must fit a larger construction schedule all move the numbers. Before we start, we explain which of those apply to your project.
Each installer is ISA-certified, and manufacturer fastening and flashing instructions are followed as written, since those instructions are what the product warranty and the wall's long-term health depend on. Finished work comes with a written workmanship warranty.

Because it is the last line of defense. When wind-driven rain gets behind the panels, the wrap lets it drain down and out rather than into the studs.
